Our Pilots and Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics are employed by the Air Methods Corporation. These Air Methods aviation professionals are integral to the safe operation of the aircraft.

Mat Blanish, LEAD PILOT

Although relatively new to our Team, Mat has over 16 years experience in the US Army. He currently pilots an OH-58, and has experience in UH-1 “Huey’s” and Blackhawks.

Mat has been our Lead Pilot since switching vendors over to Air Methods.

Sam Miller, SAFETY OFFICER

Sam has over 12 years experience as a Law Enforcement helicopter pilot. He has been with the Medstar Team for over 2 years.

In addition to his pilot duties, Sam has also taken on the role of Base Safety Officer, overseeing safe operations of the  aircraft, and Corporate Compliance.

Bill Cannada

Bill has been with us for nearly 20 years. He also received his training in the US Army. Bill has flown nearly every type of rotorcraft in the US Army inventory, from the Viet Nam era, to present day.

Ken Lazorchak

Ken recently joined the Medstar Team in January of 2009. Although new to our program, Ken has over 15 years experience in the US Army.
