MedSTAR has two satellite bases.  Both helicopters are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a pilot, nurse and paramedic.  Each base also has its own full-time mechanic. 

MedSTAR I is located in the town of Somerset in Somerset County.  MedSTAR II is located at Miners Medical Center in Hastings, Cambria County.
